Llantrisant-Aberthaw line

The Llantrisant-Aberthaw line is a closed railway in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales, which was operated by various companies during its lifetime.〔Hall 2009, p. 88〕 The section between Llantrisant (now Pontyclun) and Cowbridge opened in 1865 and the section between Cowbridge and Aberthaw opened in 1892. The later section closed in 1932. Passenger services on the remaining branch ended in 1951 and complete closure came in 1965. A short spur to Llanharry remained until 1978.
